About

Hi there!

I’m Laura Flood, and my specialty is polishing ideas until they look and sound clear. I take complex information and synthesize it into communications that are visually refined and easy to understand.

I believe that good design meets people where they are and guides them forward with grounded, thoughtful communication.

I help people understand, connect,
and move forward with clarity.

Writing has always been how I think. Words matter to me, not just how they sound, but what they do.

During my time working at non-profits, I learned that creative visual design gives language weight, direction, and emotional resonance. The combination of the two, words and graphic design, became my way
to shine.

Over the years, I’ve worked across a wide range of formats and industries.

For non-profits, that includes:

  • Annual reports
  • Fundraising campaign
  • Cases for Support
  • Event collateral
  • Websites
  • Donor Communications

For brands and small businesses:

  • Brand Identities
  • Messaging Systems
  • Internal Communications
  • Websites
  • Pitch decks
  • Reports
  • Ad campaigns
  • Social Media

I also collaborate closely with filmmakers:

  • Production design
  • Websites
  • Pitch Packages
  • Posters
  • Credits and titles
  • Set design, wardrobe, props

My Philosophy

Writing and design should respect the message’s intent and seek to communicate clearly by first understanding your audience. When communication lacks clarity or depth, people are left to fill in the gaps themselves, often leading to confusion or misalignment.

If you want people to understand, align, or act, you have to meet them where they are and guide them forward with grounded, thoughtful design and communication.

I’d love to work with you.
